Gourmet Bliss: My stay at the Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort, Mauritius

As someone who’s spent a fair bit of time exploring luxurious resorts, I thought I’d seen it all— until I arrived at Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort.

Upon arrival, you’re greeted with the resonant sound of a gong, marking the beginning of your stay. It’s a charming touch that immediately sets a welcoming tone.

During my visit, I stayed in a Junior Beachfront Suite, which was elegantly appointed. The suite featured a grand four-poster bed, a beautifully designed marble bathroom, and a freestanding bathtub that offered stunning views of the beach and ocean. The plush towels and high-quality toiletries provided an indulgent experience.

With 12 restaurants available, the culinary offerings are truly impressive. Guests can choose from a variety of dining options, ranging from fresh seafood by the lagoon to gourmet meals under the stars. The Gourmet Bliss package is particularly impressive!

A standout experience was a private beachfront dinner, where we were treated with meticulous attention to detail. Personalised menus featuring our names and the date added a special touch. Additionally, the lobster evening (available for a small supplement) offered a unique culinary experience.

The staff at Heritage Le Telfair are exemplary, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional service. I had the pleasure of meeting the senior management team, whose dedication to the resort is evident in every aspect of the guest experience.

Mauritius is a stunning island, with locals who take great pride in their heritage and extend a warm welcome to visitors. I anticipate returning in the future, as there is much to explore, or one can simply relax on the beautiful beaches while enjoying the local rum.
